Nice!
Wait – don’t you shoot Nikon?
I’m still using Nikon – for awhile, anyway! More on my transition later…
I say get a used 40D. Or 7D, or 5DM2 if you can afford it
. I am not fond of the 60D, and other 3 digits model. I like my camera to have a hard button for FEC (Flash exposure compensation) control. On the 60D and other 3 digits model, you have to go into the menu to access the FEC.
I did get the 5D MkII – so far I am very pleased with it…but it is winter here, so it will be a while before I can use it on bugs. I like the 60D due to the vari-angle screen, great for getting down and low, and great for videos.
Can’t FEC be easily changed on the flash itself?
5DM2 is great. I am saving up for that. Yes, you can change the FEC on the flash itself but i prefer to do in on the camera because i sometimes look at a scene and pre-adjust the FEC as i move in, in order to save time.
5DM2 – cool!
How do you change the FEC on the flash?
My flash was a used model and did not come with a manual,, but a downloaded pdf shows how: see “Flash Exposure Compensation” on page 32.
