New Micro 4/3 Macro Lens with 5x Magnification

A micro 4/3 macro lens to rival the Canon MP-E 65mm?

Yasuhara Co. has developed a 4 – 5x magnification lens for 4/3 cameras which has built-in LED lighting. The Nanoha website claims the following:

NANOHA is a new macro lens for mirror-less cameras which offers up to 5x magnification capabilities. (It means 1 pixel on the picture is about 1 micrometer on the shooting target.) Microscope optics for your camera without needing microscope.

With NANOHA, you can find small wonders easily. We have used some patented technologies for your easy shooting.

NANOHA is naturally designed for mirror-less cameras. So the pictures are clear to the corners and it has small distortion. You can take artistic photos of small targets with this lens.

The How to Use page shows a  11 mm lens to subject distance, with a magnification range of 4 to 5x. It has no electrical contacts, so the lens will only operate manually through an f-stop range of f11 to f32.

The 3 LED lights are powered via USB.
